Football hooligans do battle in Krakow suburb

One man has been injured after a fight between football hooligans in the Nowa Huta suburb of Krakow, southern Poland.
According to police reports, a group of around a dozen men wielding clubs, knives, and machetes, started the fight in the late hours of Saturday night.
After police were called to the scene, one man, aged 20, was found to be severely injured. He has since been taken to hospital and “is in good condition,” Katarzyna Padlo from Krakow Police told TVN24 news.
No information has been given on the perpetrators of the attack, although police have begun an enquiry into Saturday’s brawl. (jb)
