Bronze for Poland at European fencing championships

The Pole tied for third place with Germany’s Alexandra Ndolo in the women’s individual épée competition on Wednesday.

France’s Coraline Vitalis grabbed the gold, while the silver went to countrywoman Marie-Florence Candassamy.

On Thursday, team events begin at the 2019 European Fencing Championships, which run in Duesseldorf until Saturday.

Poland has won a total of 80 medals, 16 gold, 23 silver and 41 bronze, at European fencing championships since such tournaments began in 1981, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
