The Polish goal machine, who plays for Germany’s Bayern Munich club, on Saturday ended the Bundesliga season on 22 goals, four more than runner-up Paco Alcacer of the Borussia Dortmund side.

The Polish forward topped the league chart in the 2017/2018 season with 29 goals for Bayern, and he also earned the Bundesliga golden boot in 2016 with 30 goals for Bayern.

In 2014, Lewandowski became the Bundesliga top scorer with 20 goals for his previous side Borussia Dortmund.

Lewandowski’s Bayern on Saturday routed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 on the final match day, and came top of the Bundesliga overall for a seventh straight time, beating runner-up Borussia Dortmund by two points.

In addition to notching up a strong Bundesliga season, Lewandowski scored eight goals in this season’s Champions League, where his Bayern were eliminated by Liverpool in the competition’s round of 16.

The Pole has also found the back of the net five times for Bayern in the German Cup this season.

Bayern face off against RB Leipzig in the German Cup final in Berlin on Saturday, May 25.
