Polish basketball superstar ‘not under pressure’ about career

Polish basketball legend Marcin Gortat will in July face his next possible career opportunities after leaving NBA team LA Clippers.

“On July 1 transfer window opens in the NBA, but I am not under any pressure. I am not short of activities, anyway” said Gortat on Wednesday at a ceremony in Gdańsk, northern Poland.
Gortat was waived by the Los Angeles Clippers in February 2019 and has not been active in basketball since.
“It all depends on the team, my role in it and the size of the contract,” Gortat said.
“The decision will be a personal one, and it will influence my future,” he added.
Gortat, the only Pole to appear in the NBA, has also played for Orlando Magic, the Phoenix Suns and the Washington Wizards.
