Rising Polish tennis star Iga Świątek has moved to a career-high 88th place in the latest WTA rankings.

The 17-year-old Pole was on Sunday beaten in the final of the WTA Samsung Open in Lugano, but her run in the Swiss tournament marked the biggest success of her career.
Świątek last year won the Girls’ Singles title at the Wimbledon championships in London.
The Polish player is expected to compete in the French Open Grand Slam tournament in Paris next month.
