Poland eyeing 15 medals at 2020 Olympics, says official

Jan Widera, from the sports ministry, assessed Polish athletes’ prospects at a Wednesday meeting of the parliamentary sport and tourism committee in Warsaw.

At the Rio Summer Olympics in 2016, Poland won 11 medals: two golds, three silvers and six bronzes -- the best result in 16 years.

Top Polish politicians said at the time that the athletes had made their country proud.

At the London Olympics in 2012, Poland won 10 medals: two golds, two silvers and six bronzes.
