Stoch likewise finished third in the weekend’s first World Cup competition in Predazzo on Saturday.

After the two weekend competitions in Italy, Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi topped the overall World Cup standings, with 1,092 points, while Poland’s Stoch was second with 624 points, followed by countryman Piotr Żyła in third place with 591 points.

Kubacki was fourth with 532 points from 13 of 28 individual events this season.

The 2018/2019 ski-jumping World Cup circuit, run by the International Ski Federation (FIS), now moves to Poland, where one team competition and one individual competition will be held in the southern mountain resort of Zakopane next weekend.

Polish ski jumpers in November won a season-opening World Cup team competition in Wisła, southern Poland.
