Poland’s Gortat holds Polish Heritage Night in LA

The event will be held at Staples Center, the largest sports venue in Los Angeles, and will accompany a match between Gortat’s LA Clippers and Orlando Magic.

Special guests attending the event include singer Edyta Górniak, actress Iza Miko, and boxer Andrzej Fonfara. A short address from Polish President Andrzej Duda is to be aired to mark the occasion.

Polish folk group Tulia will perform their version of the American national anthem alongside their latest song “Pali się” (Fire).

The Polish Heritage Night is Gortat’s eighth such event held in the US.

Gortat told Polish Radio: “US citizens are becoming more acquainted with Polish culture. I’m happy to be organising the event.”
