The Polish Consulate General in New York is encouraging Poles living on the East Coast of the United States to join events including the annual Polonia 5K Run and the Polish Constitution Day Run.
This year’s Polonia 5K Run in Garfield, New Jersey, on Sunday, April 22, will feature 1972 Polish ski-jumping Olympic champion Wojciech Fortuna as guest of honour, according to organisers.
Meanwhile, the five-mile Polish Constitution Day Run, now in its fifth year, will be held in the New York City borough of Queens on Sunday, May 6, to “actively celebrate” both Poland's independence and the declaration of the country's milestone constitution of May 3, 1791, organisers say.
