The full list of Poland's athletes will be announced in February, but the country has already confirmed that it will most likely be represented by ten athletes in four disciplines: cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, biathlon and snowboard.

Łukasz Szeliga, the head of the Polish Paralympic Committee and a former alpine skier who participated in the Winter Paralympics in Nagano, Salt Lake City and Turin, said winning a medal might be difficult for Polish Paralympians.

“We hope we will be able to reverse the situation from Sochi and come back with medals.”

At the 2014 Paralympics in Sochi Polish Paralympians failed to get any medals. Eight years ago Poles came back from Vancouver with one bronze medal. (tf/vb)
