Swimming: Pole wins silver at European Championships

Poland’s Radosław Kawęcki has won the silver medal in the men’s 200m backstroke at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Kawęcki notched up a time of 1:48.46 in Wednesday’s final. Russia’s Kliment Kolesnikov took gold with 1:48.02, while bronze went to Lithuania’s Danas Rapsys with a time of 1:49.06
Meanwhile, Poland won bronze in the men’s 4x50m freestyle with a time of 1:24.44.
Russia took gold and Italy took the silver.
The Polish men’s 4x50m freestyle relay team comprised Paweł Juraszek, Filip Wypych, Jakub Książek and Konrad Czerniak.
