Polish tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska has beaten Croatia’s Petra Martić 6:4, 7:6 in the first round of the US Open Grand Slam tournament.

Radwańska now takes on Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva in the second round of the New York tournament.
Radwańska has struggled with health problems and poor form this year.
In her opening match in New York, she showed a few flashes of brilliance, but it was clear she was playing below par, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
