Poland’s top striker and captain of the national squad Robert Lewandowski has announced he will become a parent.

“Anna is pregnant,” he said after a match on Tuesday between his team, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid, adding that his wife Anna Lewandowska is five months along.
“It was always my dream that when my wife got pregnant I would be the first one to announce it,” he said.
Fans could have guessed the news during the Tuesday game after he scored a goal which he dedicated to his unborn child.
After finding the back of the net, he put a football under his jersey and mimed thumb-sucking.
Lewandowski said he would keep the ball as a souvenir.
