Volleyball: Poland beat France after thrilling comeback

Poland have beaten France after a tense tie-break on the first day of the FIVB Volleyball World League Finals in the southern Polish city of Kraków.

The Poles won Wednesday’s match 3:2 (21:25, 17:25, 25:17, 28:26, 15:12), fighting their way back from 0:2 behind.
Poland’s Dawid Konarski notched up 20 points, the best performance in his squad.
The Poles now take on Serbia on Thursday evening, playing for a place in the semi final.
