Marciniak, who is arguably Poland’s best referee, oversaw two matches of the group stage and the match between Germany and Slovakia in the round of 16.
He won praise for the way he handled those three games and was selected for further games in the competition.
Meanwhile refs Martin Atkinson (England), Cüneyt Çakır (Turkey) and Carlos Velasco Carballo (Spain) were sent home.
Marciniak has been included among those who will be reserve referees for at least the next two stages of the competition.
The Polish national football team will play against Portugal on Thursday. (rg)
