Gortat lands in hospital

Pole Marcin Gortat, NBA player for the Washington Wizards, was obliged to watch Monday’s game with the Chicago Bulls from the sidelines.

Gortat was unable to bend his left leg and admitted himself to hospital with a swollen knee.
There is not a conclusive diagnosis, however, an infection is suspected, doctors told US media.
“Great f...... Day” Gortat tweeted from the hospital on Tuesday.
The problems began during a 9 January game with his former team, Orlando Magic, which he abandoned as a result of an injury, despite scoring 12 points and 10 assists. (ua/nh)
