Janusz Gołąb, Michał Król and Marcin Tomaszewski are set to scale the south-western buttress of the mountain which has never been conquered in winter time.
The route is said to be one of the most dangerous in world mountaineering. Over sixty climbers have been killed there.
The final assault of the peak is scheduled for mid-November and the team is expected back in Warsaw on 5 December.
