Lewandowski makes Champions League top goalscorer ranking

Polish footballer and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski managed to score six goals in this season’s Champions League, earning him a spot in the competition’s goalscorer ranking.

Lewandowski scored his last goal during Tuesday night’s semi-final second leg against Barcelona. Even though Bayern won the meeting 3-2, they were knocked out on aggregate, with Barcelona going through to the final with a score of 5-3.

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi topped the ranking with ten goals, ahead of teammate Neymar, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Luiz Adriano, who all scored nine goals. (jb)
