Kocian got the job as recently as 22 October after the sacking of Dariusz Wdowczyk, making this the second change of manager for the club this season.

Lech Poznań and Lechia Gdańsk have also replaced their managers on two separate occasions this season.

Five other teams, Wisła Kraków, PGE GKS Bełchatów, Piast Gliwice, Ruch Chorzów and Zawisza Bydgoszcz have also replaced their managers.

Zawisza hired Mariusz Rumak, who had started the season at the helm of Lech Poznań but was sacked after a mere four matches. The team continues to languish at the bottom of the table after 22 rounds. But the team, which collected a mere nine points last year, has been the best of all 16 since the break, getting 17 points in seven matches. (an)
