Legia beat New Saints in game of two halves

Legia Warszawa came back from a goal behind to win 3 – 1 in their Champions League second qualifying round tie against New Saints in Wreckham, Wales.

Poland's league and cup champions fell behind their Welsh hosts on Wednesday evening after just 11 minutes when Ryan Fraughan scored for New Saints.

But the team talk at half time by coach Jan Urban seemed to galvanise Legia Warszawa and goals from substitute Michal Kucharczyk and strikers Marek Saganowksi and Jakub Kosecki secured the tie for the Polish side.Wednesday at the Pepsi stadium in Warsaw.

On Thursday evening, Piast Gliwice, Slask Wroclaw and Lech Poznan begin their campaigns in the Europa League. (pg)
