Under a new bill presented by Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, any sentence for causing death or grievous bodily harm by careless driving cannot not be suspended.
Also, the time limit after which court action cannot be taken would be prolonged from two to three years.
Although experts on road safety have praised the proposed legislation, they also point to the low cost of speeding tickets in Poland, according to private broadcaster TVN24. (ał/pk)
