The study, published on Tuesday, revised upwards the IMF’s forecast for Polish GDP growth in 2019 from an earlier projection of 3.5 percent.

The report authors added that they expected the Polish economy to expand 3.1 percent in 2020.

According to the IMF, Polish GDP growth this year is set to be the highest in the region.

The World Bank said last week it expected Polish economic growth to slow to 4 percent this year from over 5 percent in 2018.

Poland notched up the third-fastest GDP growth in the EU in 2018, the European Commission said earlier this year.
