The ratings agency left its estimate of the country's general government deficit in 2020 unchanged at 2.3 percent of GDP.
Fitch maintained its forecasts that the Polish economy would grow a healthy 3.8 percent in 2019 and 3.0 percent in 2020, state news agency PAP reported.
Polish senators on Thursday approved the country’s budget for 2019, which expects GDP growth of 3.8 percent.
Under the bill, which now goes to the president for signing into law, the country's budget deficit is expected to be no more than PLN 28.5 billion (EUR 6.6 billion, USD 7.6 billion) this year, and the target for the general government deficit is 1.7 percent of GDP.
