Wages up in Poland in Q2: stats office

The average gross monthly wage in Poland rose 7.1 percent in the second quarter of this year compared with the same period last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office has reported.

Polish employees earned PLN 4,521.08 (around EUR 1,056, USD 1,211) on average a month in the second quarter of 2018, the office said on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the average Polish monthly wage in June was PLN 4,848 (EUR 1,125, USD 1,320), the Central Statistical Office announced last month.

The Polish economy grew 5.2 percent in the first quarter of this year, according to the Central Statistical Office.

Poland’s investment and development minister estimated this month that the country’s GDP grew over 5 percent in the second quarter.
