Polish inflation at 2 percent in July: flash estimate

Inflation in Poland stood at 2 percent in year on year terms in July, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said in a flash estimate released on Tuesday.

In June, year-on-year inflation was at the same level, rising from 1.7 percent in May, according to the statistics office.
Inflation in the country stood at 1.6 percent year on year in April, while the March figure was 1.3 percent.
Inflation in February stood at 1.4 percent in year-on-year terms, while the January reading was 1.9 percent.
In December last year, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland rose 2.1 percent compared with the same month a year earlier.
