Average wage rises in Poland: stats office

Average wages in Poland rose 7.5 percent in June compared to the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office said on Tuesday.

The average Polish monthly wage in June was PLN 4,848 (EUR 1,125, USD 1,320).
Meanwhile, employment in Polish companies increased 3.7 percent last month in year-on-year terms, according to the statistical office.
The figures are for firms with more than nine employees.
The Polish economy grew 5.2 percent in the first quarter of this year, according to the Central Statistical Office.
