The National Bank of Poland forecast in a report that inflation would rise to 2.7 percent and GDP growth would slow to 3.8 percent next year.

It said it expected the prices of consumer goods and services to climb 2.9 percent and GDP growth to decelerate to 3.5 percent in 2020.

Inflation in Poland rose to 2 percent year on year in June from 1.7 percent in May, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

The European Commission last week raised its forecast for Polish GDP growth this year to 4.6 percent from an earlier estimate of 4.3 percent.
