More homes built in Poland: stats office

Builders in Poland completed 6.9 percent more homes in the first five months of this year than in the same period in 2017, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported.

A total of 69,942 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of May, the office said on Monday.
It added that the number of dwellings under construction also increased in the first five months of this year compared with the same period last year.
According to real estate experts, there is still a shortage of around 3 million housing units in Poland.
