Digitisation Minister Marek Zagórski was speaking on Friday at a Polish-French Economic Forum in Warsaw entitled "Era of the Robots: Is a New Revolution Coming?"

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during the forum that the Internet of Things, machine learning and electric vehicles were areas of industry that Poland and France could invest in over the coming decades.

Participants in the forum, held at the Royal Castle in the Polish capital, pondered the challenges posed by the development of artificial intelligence.

The event was organised by the French-Polish Chamber of Commerce.

Poland’s science minister has said the country will start work in the autumn on a national AI programme.
