Inflation in Poland at 1.7% in May: stats office

Inflation in Poland accelerated to 1.7% year-on-year in May from 1.6% in April, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Wednesday in a preliminary estimate.

Inflation stood at 1.3% year-on-year in March while the February figure was 1.4%.
Inflation in January stood at 1.9% in year-on-year terms. In December last year, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland rose 2.1% compared with the same month a year earlier.
