An innovative Polish prototype combining the features of a motorcycle and a car is to appear on the streets this summer.

The electric Triggo vehicle will have four wheels, a cabin, a steering wheel, a seat with a backrest, and will come equipped with a seat belt and an airbag.

But unlike a car, the new vehicle leans to the side while cornering, giving it the feel of a motorbike.

The aim is to allow drivers “to move about as nimbly and as efficiently as on a two-wheeler, while maintaining the safety and comfort to which we are accustomed in a car," said Rafał Budweil of Triggo.

The new vehicles will not be on sale to individuals but drivers will be able to rent them in the same way that they can rent a city bicycle or a car-sharing vehicle.

Pre-production prototypes are to appear on Polish roads this summer, while the finished version of the vehicle is expected to hit the streets in 2019 or 2020.

"Our ambition is for the Triggo to become a Polish export hit," said Budweil.
