Producers are cutting down on sugar, salt and fat content in food as Polish customers increasingly demand healthier fare, the Rzeczpospolita daily reported on Tuesday.

Sixty-two percent of Poles are prepared to pay more for more for products without ingredients they do not want to see in food, the paper reported.
This amounts to a “revolution”, the daily said, adding that cost has up to now been the primary factor determining which products consumers chose.
Poles read food labels and check the ingredients of products more often than the average in the EU, Rzeczpospolita added.
