Business services and the automotive industry are among the sectors that foreign investors are most interested in, according to Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency’s Vice President Krzysztof Senger said that 17,000 new jobs would be created thanks to projects completed in 2017.

Senger added that last year Poland saw increased interest from Asian companies.

Investors from the United States are expected to carry out the most projects in Poland -- a total of 14 -- as a result of work completed in 2017, followed by South Korea and Germany, with six projects each, according to IAR.

Swiss investors are expected to carry out five projects, and Italy and Japan four each.
