Fourteen percent of Poles are considering taking up jobs abroad in the coming year, while 85.5% are not, according to a survey.

The study by market research firm Kantar Millward Brown for the Work Service employment agency found that over 2.8 million Poles are considering leaving the country.
Most of these are considering short-term emigration for three months. One in five of those contemplating work in a different country is considering heading off abroad for good.
Work Service CEO Maciej Witucki said that during the last four years, the number of Poles thinking of leaving the country has fallen by 5.7 percentage points.
"The percentage of people who say they have an attractive job in Poland is rising, and at the same time there are fewer people saying they lack suitable employment in Poland," he added.
Higher wages abroad are the main motivation for Poles planning to emigrate. Those who plan to leave Poland most frequently want to work in Germany.
