Polish FinMin's '100 changes for business' plan 90% complete: report

The Polish finance minister has said that his “100 changes for business” packet of reforms is nearing “90 percent” completion, according to the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily.

Finance Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told the paper that Polish businesses were benefiting from “one good change” roughly every four days.
Among those changes was Morawiecki's proposed “constitution for business,” which aims to improve the line between businesses and public administration, according to the daily.
The “constitution” is expected to simplify the tax system to the tune of 3.8 billion PLN (EUR 900 million) in savings for businesses over ten years, Morawiecki told the daily.
Morawiecki's changes are set to especially benefit micro and small businesses, by allowing enterprises making less than PLN 1,000 per month not to register, and allowing corporate income tax to be paid quarterly instead of monthly, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna said.
The daily added that the revenue threshold for small businesses – which pay 15 percent tax instead of 19 percent – would be increased from EUR 1.2 million to EUR 2 million, benefitting some 15,000 businesses. (vb/gs)
