Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, currently on a visit to the United States, said that the new facility is to be set up in Częstochowa, southern Poland – close to an existing plant in the city.
The factory is to provide several hundred new jobs but also serve as a platform for collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises, Morawiecki said.
“This will be a highly automated factory, which will earmark a large part of its production for export,” the minister told journalists. “It will manufacture glass employing environment-friendly methods. It will be one of the most technologically advanced glass-producing factories in the world,” Morawiecki added.
The plant will cost EUR 200 million to build. (aba/pk)
