Retail sales up in Poland, industrial production down

Polish retail sales in constant prices rose 6.7 percent in April compared to the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office said on Friday.

Sales at current prices increased by 8.1 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, industrial production was 0.6 percent lower than in April last year, the statistical office said, giving figures for companies with more than nine employees.
In March, Poland's retail sales rose 9.7 percent compared to the same month last year and climbed 16.5 percent from February, according to statistical office.
Industrial production in March rose 11.1 percent year on year, and was 17.6 percent up on February.
