New car registrations in February hit 16-year record

The registration of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Poland increased by 12.53 percent in February over the previous year, an automotive research institute has said.

The data was the best since “at least the year 2000”, the Samar institute said in a report.
A total of 43,080 cars and light commercial vehicles were registered last month, meaning that month-on-month the figure rose by 2.72 percent in February.
“February was the twenty-third consecutive month of uninterrupted month-on-month growth in the sale of cars and vans up to 3.5t,” Samar said. (rg)
