The Kulczyk siblings Dominika and Sebastian, children of the late Polish energy tycoon Jan Kulczyk, have topped the list for the second year running.

Their combined worth of PLN 14.3 billion fell by PLN 1.6 billion since last year’s ranking.

The Kulczyk name has led in the ranking for several years, as the family’s patriarch dominated the Forbes list for several years before he died in mid-2015.

Second place was taken by Michał Sołowów, who made his fortune in bathroom appliances and property, with PLN 11.8 billion (EUR 2.7 billion).

Media baron Zygmunt Solorz-Żak took third place with an estimated fortune of PLN 10.3 billion (EUR 2.4 billion).

Almost a third of the people in the ranking are billionaires.

The ranking of 100 Richest Poles, conducted by Forbes Magazine since 2003, takes into account publicly available financials, such as shares in businesses, real estate assets, cash from recent transactions and dividends from stocks. (vb/pk)
