The new branch is expected to open in the first half of 2017 and will have a corporate banking focus.
The Czech Republic is one of the most important markets for the Polish bank’s existing corporate customers and the fifth largest trade partner for Polish companies, a PKO BP statement said.
The bank’s deputy CEO, Maks Kraczkowski, said: “A Polish bank will better understand the need of its country’s businesses... and therefore can better tailor its offering to their needs.” (vb/pk)
