The Russian embargo on fruit and vegetables was introduced in August 2014, following EU sanctions against Moscow in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis.
As far as Polish exports are concerned, 2015 saw a 10 percent drop in fruit exports compared with 2014, and a 19 percent fall in exports of vegetables.
Poland has been trying to open new markets, having previously sold a high proportion of its fruit and vegetables to Russia. (nh/pk)
