Warsaw Airport gives red-carpet treatment to milestone passenger

At 11 minutes past eleven Warsaw time, Tuesday morning, the Chopin Airport in the Polish capital gave a thunderous welcome to a very special passenger.

Barbara Borkała, who arrived from Vienna on a LOT Polish Airlines flight, was the 11,111,111 passenger handled at the Warsaw Airport this year.
She was greeted by representatives of the airport management and showered with gifts, which included free return tickets on the Warsaw-Tokyo route.

2015 has been a record year for the Warsaw Airport. In the long-term, it will be able to handle up to twenty million passengers a year. (mk/rg)
