Eurostat: ¾ of Polish cars ‘older than 10 years’

                    75 percent of cars currently on Polish roads are over a decade old, the second highest in the European Union, said Eurostat, the bloc’s statistics office.

                         In 2013 (the latest available data), Lithuania had by far the highest share of passenger cars older than 10 years. As many as 85 percent of the cars in that country were made before 2005.
Lithuania was followed by Poland (75 percent) and Latvia (72 percent).
The fewest “older” cars can be found in Sweden (17 percent), Ireland (18 percent) and Austria (20 percent). (rg/rk)
