It was only possible to achieving such a good position thanks to investments from EU funds, said Dariusz Wychowałek, the president of the group of mushroom producers.
“When we started growing mushrooms, we quickly learned that it is not enough to produce. In order to sell the goods, we needed to properly package them. So the next step was to create an appropriate infrastructure that would enable the packaging of fungi and their dispatch to customers,” Wychowałek said.
The fungi, also known as common mushrooms, are characterised by their white colour and brown gills. They are often found in supermarkets all year round due to the ease of their cultivation. (rg)
