In 2017 the Polish luxury market will be worth PLN 14 billion (EUR 3.5 billion), a report by consulting firm KPMG finds.
“The number of very rich people in Poland is rising very fast, much faster than in western Europe,” says Tomasz Wiśniewski, the head of financial advisory at KPMG.
By the usual definition of high net worth individuals – that is, people with USD 1 million in investable assets, Poland has some 50,000 such people, Wiśniewski said.
The fastest-growing segment of the luxury market is spas and luxury hotels, which accounts for 10 percent of its total value and is expected to rise to 25 percent in 2017. (an)
