Gazprom-Media to enter Polish market?
PR dla Zagranicy
The Kremlin-controlled Gazprom Media is mulling an investment in Poland, Polish media reports.
Negotiations with Polish advertising firm Atmedia have been going on for months, and are now in their final stages, daily Puls Biznesu writes.
Until a few years ago, Atmedia was one of Poland's leading brokers of advertising airtime. In recent months revenues have dropped, however, and its owner, US TV channel AMC, has put it up for sale.
Gazprom Media is part of Gazprombank, itself a subsidiary of Russian gas concern Gazprom. Puls Biznesu says the media arm is interested in an investment foothold in the CEE region. (rg/jb)
