PKP on track as profits grow year on year

PKP SA and PKP LHS – which operates a broad-gauge line linking Poland with the Ukraine and Russia – reported better results last year, while track operator PKP PLK increased its losses to around 750 million zloty.

Profits for parent company PKP SA increased by over 100 million zloty last year compared to 2011: the company reports gains of 345.7 million zloty as opposed to 228.4 million zloty in 2011 and 194 million zloty in 2010.

Freight operator PKP Cargo also reported larger gains in 2012. (jb)
