A new report published by PMR consultants estimates that the Polish dental market will be worth 10 billion zloty (around 2.5 billion euro) in 2013.

According to the consultancy, the dental treatment sector is to grow by around 13-15 percent over the period 2012-2013. Since 2011, the size of sector in Poland has grown by some 1 billion zloty annually.

“More and more people are caring for their teeth,” Agnieszka Skonieczna from PMR told the Puls Biznesu daily, although Poles see a dentist more rarely than their neighbours in the EU, she adds.

The market growth also comes as medical tourism continues to ride high in Poland, as costs remain up to 70 percent lower than in western Europe, with the relatively low cost luring patients from Germany, the UK, as well as Scandinavia. (jb)
