Media reports that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is set to take part in the Festival of Russian Song in the western Polish town of Zielona Gora.

According to the Super Express tabloid, it is almost certain that the Russian PM will perform a duet live with one of the artists appearing at the festival.

“There are two variants as to [Putin’s] performance,” an unnamed source told the newspaper.

“Either Vladimir Putin will personally come to Zielona Gora to sing in the town’s amphitheatre, or the song will be recorded as a video clip and displayed on the screen during the concert,” the source added.

This would not be the first time that Vladimir Putin has sung on stage. Back in December 2010, the Russian Prime Minister took to the stage at a charity gig in Saint Petersburg to raise money for fighting children’s cancer.

The ceremony, which was attended by a whole score of Hollywood stars, was graced with an impromptu performance of ‘Blueberry Hill’. (jb)
