The book by Mikołaj Gliński, Matthew Davies and Adam Żuławski is a colourfully-illustrated dictionary of 100 words that, according to the publishers, make up the essence of Poland.
“Quarks, Elephants & Pierogi: Poland in 100 Words” is the first book published by Culture.pl, a web portal about Polish culture.
The portal was founded by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, which is a state-sponsored cultural institution.
